As an organization that advocates for youth engagement, societal advancement and growth, we have an obligation to optimize our voices and interests to champion enlightenment within communities, as regards the current state of our society. I- AM VOCAL is organising an interactive town hall event themed state of society; where the last decade will be reviewed from variant perspectives, to spark radical exchange of ideas, in a bid to salvage the deterioration we have learned. State of Society aims to work jointly with change influencers whose consents align with our aspirations to create common understanding and revive the disrupted organizational structure, by employing voices as gear, and the past as yardstick to address thriving issues in our communities; past actions and inactions, challenges and solutions, decisions and impacts; that are directly in relation to subjective political, social, traditional and religious build. The impact of the organizational structure of a government is highly reflective on its people. Over the last decade Nigeria has experienced a major stint in the aspect of norms of behaviour, culture and democracy, in relation to the environment, gender role and breach of human rights, which have been enveloped as normal. Moving forward into the new decade, what are the hopes and aspiration of the Nigerian people, what actions can be taken to promote collective responsibility, in a bid to save our environment, what ideas can be explored to push voluntary interrelation among tribes, how do encourage gender equality, how do we treat civic disorder, finally, how do we trigger heated emotions in people to drive revolution?
